How Our Hari Raya Catering Process Works
From first enquiry to cleared tables, here’s exactly what happens when you book Hari Raya catering with us.
1. Browse & Customise Online
Head to our order portal and filter by category (buffet, mini buffet, bento), compare menus side-by-side, and add items to cart. You’ll see the live GST-inclusive total before you commit.
2. Confirm Your Date, Time, & Delivery Address
Select your preferred delivery time slot during checkout. For Raya weekends, slots fill 3–4 weeks in advance. We recommend booking as soon as possible.
3. Our Kitchen Team Prepares Your Order Fresh
Dishes are prepared the morning of your event using fresh ingredients. Rendang is slow-cooked overnight; rice dishes like Nasi Hujan Panas are cooked on the day. Our kitchen is certified under MUIS Halal standards throughout.
4. Professional Delivery & Setup
For full buffets, our crew arrives before your event start time to set up chafing dishes, arrange the buffet line, and do a final quality check. For mini buffets and bentos, delivery is scheduled close to your selected ready time. Please allow a ±30-minute window from the ready time, as traffic conditions, parking availability, or other unforeseen delays may occasionally affect arrival.
5. Post-Event Collection
At a pre-agreed time, our team returns to collect all equipment. You just enjoy the celebration with your guests.
Hari Raya 2026: Featured Menu
Nasi Tumpeng
Nasi Tumpeng is a well-loved dish from Java that’s closely tied to moments of gratitude and joyful gatherings. At the centre of the dish is a cone-shaped mound of rice, commonly tinted yellow with turmeric, and surrounded by a variety of savoury side dishes. The cone form is inspired by the image of a sacred mountain, representing prosperity, harmony, and the cycle of life. Because of its rich symbolism and festive presentation, Nasi Tumpeng is traditionally prepared for meaningful milestones, ceremonies, and celebratory events.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the "cutoff date" to secure a slot for the Hari Raya weekends?
Because the festive season is incredibly peak for Hari Raya catering, we don’t have a fixed calendar date for a cutoff; rather, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Usually, the most popular weekend slots during the month of Syawal are fully booked out two to three weeks in advance.
As a guideline, orders usually require 1–3 days’ advance notice (subject to availability). However, during the Hari Raya period, demand is significantly higher, and our kitchen and delivery schedules fill up quickly. For this reason, we strongly recommend placing your order as early as possible once you have a rough guest count.
At Catering Culture, we recommend that once you have a rough headcount, you should place a tentative booking to lock in your preferred date. As a leading provider of Hari Raya catering in Singapore, we reach maximum kitchen capacity very quickly during the first three days of the public holiday, so waiting until the last minute often results in limited menu choices or unavailable delivery timings.
Are all Hari Raya caterers MUIS Halal-certified?
While many home-based businesses or smaller outfits may offer festive food, not all are officially certified. Catering Culture is a fully MUIS Halal-certified caterer, which is a non-negotiable standard for us. This certification means that every step of our food preparation, from the sourcing of our premium meats to the storage of our signature spices, is strictly monitored to comply with Islamic dietary laws. When you book a Hari Raya buffet through us, you can rest assured that all your Muslim relatives and friends can dine with absolute peace of mind. Our Halal credentials are a core part of our commitment to serving the community during this holy and celebratory month.
Is there a delivery surcharge during the public holiday?
Yes, there is a seasonal surcharge for deliveries made on 21 March 2026, which falls during the first day of Hari Raya. This adjustment allows us to mobilise our logistics team and kitchen staff during one of the busiest public holidays, ensuring that your festive spread arrives fresh and on schedule.
For buffet catering, the usual transport charge is $80 ($87.20 incl. GST) for delivery and collection. On 21 March 2026, the festive transport fee will be $100 ($109 incl. GST).
For mini buffets and classic bento sets, the standard transport charge is $40 ($43.60 incl. GST). On 21 March 2026, a festive transport charge of $50 ($54.50 incl. GST) will apply.
At Catering Culture, we aim to keep all festive pricing clear and transparent. Any applicable transport charges will be reflected in your quotation in advance, so you can plan your Hari Raya buffet with full clarity and no unexpected costs.
Can I schedule a specific delivery time slot to match my guests' arrival?
We understand that timing is everything for a successful open house or event, which is why our online booking system includes a dedicated page to select your requested time slot. When you book with Catering Culture, you can pick the specific window that best fits your event schedule.
However, given the high volume of deliveries and increased festive traffic during the Syawal month, we ask that you please allow a ±30 minutes grace from the ready time for unforeseen circumstances such as traffic jams or parking problems at residential estates. To ensure a stress-free experience, we always advise our clients to cater for a slightly earlier delivery window so that your Hari Raya buffet is fully laid out before your first guests arrive. Our goal is to have everything perfectly in place before the first “Selamat Hari Raya” greeting is exchanged at your door.
Can the spice levels be adjusted for children or elderly guests?
At Catering Culture, we take pride in our authentic heritage recipes, which usually carry a moderate, family-friendly heat. We recognise that many gatherings include young children and seniors who may be sensitive to spice. While we cannot always change the base paste for every single dish in a large-batch production, we can certainly recommend specific menu items that are naturally milder, such as our creamy Sayur Lodeh or Ayam Masak Merah. For dishes like Beef Rendang, we aim for a rich, savoury profile rather than overwhelming heat. If you have specific concerns, do let our consultants know so we can help you curate a balanced menu that everyone can enjoy.
What is the maximum duration the food can safely sit in the warmers?
According to Singapore Food Agency (SFA) guidelines and for the best taste experience, food should be consumed within 4 hours of being placed in the buffet warmers. Catering Culture provides professional-grade chafing dishes with high-quality fuel burners to keep the food at a safe temperature (above 60°C). Beyond the 4-hour mark, the quality of certain dishes, like fried items, may diminish, and the risk of bacterial growth increases. For all-day open houses, we recommend a split-order approach, where we deliver a fresh batch of food halfway through the day, ensuring that your evening guests receive the same high-quality meal as your morning visitors.
Is the GST and service charge already reflected in the package price?
Typically, our advertised package prices for festive menus are exclusive of the prevailing GST and a standard service fee. The service fee covers the logistical costs of setup, the provision of a full set of biodegradable or premium disposable wares, and the post-event collection of our equipment. When you receive your formal quote on the website upon checkout, we provide a clear breakdown of the subtotal, the service fee, and the GST so you know exactly what you are paying for. We make sure all costs are visible upfront so you can manage your festive budget effectively.
What is the protocol if I need to increase my order last minute?
We know that Hari Raya guest lists can grow unexpectedly! If you need to increase the number of pax for your order, please notify us at least 3 to 4 working days before the event. At Catering Culture, we will do our absolute best to accommodate additions, provided our kitchen has the extra ingredients in stock. Please note that while we can usually increase the quantity of food, it is much harder to decrease the order size once the 72-hour window has passed, as our chefs would have already begun the meticulous process of marinating meats and preparing our signature sauces.
What happens to the leftover food after the event?
According to Singapore Food Agency (SFA) guidelines, for food safety reasons, caterers are strictly advised against providing containers for packing leftovers from a buffet. At Catering Culture, we follow these professional standards to protect our clients and their guests from potential food-borne illnesses, as food that has been sitting in warmers for several hours is no longer at its peak freshness once the heat source is removed.
However, we understand the desire to avoid wasting a delicious Hari Raya buffet. To manage this, we recommend that hosts prepare their own clean, food-grade containers if they wish to pack any untouched food immediately after the meal. Please note that once the food is packed into your own containers, the responsibility for its safety and proper storage shifts to the host. For a more sustainable and zero-waste approach, we suggest being as accurate as possible with your guest count during the booking stage, as our portions are already quite hearty and designed to ensure no one leaves hungry.
Do I need to provide tables for the catering setup?
For our signature full buffet service, Catering Culture handles everything for you. We provide a complete buffet layout that includes professional-grade tables with elegant full-drop tablecloths and skirting to create a polished, festive look in your home. We also provide all necessary food warmers and a generous supply of high-quality disposables (equivalent to 120% of your guest count) to ensure you never run out of plates or cutlery.
